The beauty of the US Virgin Islands must be seen to be believed

On secluded, spectacular St. John, you can bask on world class beaches and hike the mountain trails of the Virgin Islands National Park. St. John is the perfect spot for your charter getaway. It’s the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Island and boasts of tranquil, unspoiled beauty unique even for the Caribbean – thanks to the protected status of the National Park, which encompasses two-thirds of the island. Settled in the early 1700s as a Danish sugar-producing colony, St. John soon blossomed into a thriving society. The ruins of the Annaberg Sugar Plantation and other smaller plantations on the island attest to the island’s rich agricultural history.

On picturesque, historic St. Croix – the largest of the three islands – you can enjoy wonderful water activities, visit historic sugar mills, play 18-holes of golf on a beachside course, and sample native rum from a local distillery. You’ll never find a shortage of things to do, see, and discover in the tropical haven of the U.S. Virgin Islands. St. Croix’s rich culture and history, along with its beautiful beaches and world-class recreational activities, create an experience unlike any other in the Caribbean. Find yourself in paradise chartering a yacht to St. Martin

The island of Sint Maarten-Saint Martin is the smallest landmass in the world to be shared by two different nations. It consists of only 37 square miles, and it’s owned by France and the Netherlands Antilles. You’ll find a lively atmosphere – and the island has a little of everything. On the Dutch side you will find the Caribbean’s largest lagoon—Simpson Bay Lagoon, which is landlocked with the exception of two narrow channels with draw bridges. The Lagoon is large enough to hoist a real sail and home to a giant fleet of yachts, which are either berthed in one of the luxury marinas or anchored in the sheltered water. St. Maarten has become the yachting center of the Caribbean, home port to some of the world’s most extravagant mega yachts.

Your yacht charter will be booked full of wonderful things to do and see. If you want to engage in the culture of the waterfront bistros and cosmopolitan shopping, the French side of St. Martin is just for you. What makes the Dutch side of the island famous? Answer: Casinos, duty-free shopping and watching the airliners come in for landing just yards above you (while you enjoy a locally mixed daiquiri). St. Martin is a must-see, and some would say the perfect destination spot.

When you are ready to explore other areas off shore of the island, you can take an excursion to the neighboring islands of St. Barths, Anguilla, St. Easuatius and Saba as well as more localized trips to many of the tiny uninhabited islets surrounding the island. Explorer Island is an enchanting sight in the center of the Simpson Bay Lagoon and is an ideal stop for a picnic or even a cocktail at sunset. Some of the island’s attractions are the natural beauty of the national park in historic Nelson’s Dockyard and the island charm rich with history found in English Harbor. Developed as a base for the British Navy in the great age of sail, the harbor served as headquarters of the Leeward Islands fleet in the late 18th Century, and was expanded that time by Admiral Horatio Nelson.

Today Nelson’s Dockyard has been completely restored, and it is now the only Georgian dockyard in the world bustling with boutiques, inns and restaurants some of which are made from the ruins of the picturesque stone towers of the sugar windmills. On you yacht charter, you can visit a fully-restored sugar mill at Betty’s Hope, Codrington’s original sugar estate.

Barbuda is the leisure-filled and densely populated sister island to Antigua where beachcombing, bird watching, snorkeling, fishing, or basking in the sun on the pink and white sand beaches would dominate your day. If you are an avid bird lover, you are in luck; the Barbuda’s Frigate Bird Sanctuary is located in the island’s northwestern lagoon and is accessible only by boat.

“He has guided me through this process and helped with every detail…”

I believe that tonight I have finally executed the CAOV for the boat we’ve been working on buying for some time, DeepBlue1. He has guided me through this process and helped with every detail, and has made this whole process an enjoyable adventure. It has been a long project and he has patiently helped us look at more boats that I count right now, but I think we are finally c… [read more]
