Formerly known as Proteksan Turquoise, Turquoise Yachts is a builder of custom power and sailing superyachts. The company was recently acquired by Dr. Mohammed Al Barwani, who also owns the Dutch shipyard Oceanco. This relatively new company was founded in 2001 but holds the accomplishment of building Turkey's first superyacht (Double Trouble). After Double Trouble, Turquoise would pump out another 20 superyachts ranging from 40 to 72 meters in length.

Turquoise continues to push the envelope of design and size. Under Dr. Al Barwani, Turquoise Yachts will focus on large luxury superyachts in the 40 to 90 meters length category. A few notable builds include the 50m superyacht "Mosaique" and the 53.4m superyacht "Petara". Both built in the first two years of the companies existence.
