Worth Noting: The name ‘Camano’ is derived from the small town of Kemano in British Columbia. Warren changed the spelling for easier pronunciation.
Naval architect, Bob Warren founded Camano in 1989 when he began building Camano trawlers in a shipyard in Delta, British Columbia. Warren sold the company to Brad and Jaslyn Miller in 1997.
Camano boats are built in the Pacific Northwest and equipped to handle inland waters and coastal routes all over the world. After over a decade of production, the boats still maintain their signature style with the curving transom of a fishing boat with its flared bow and a soft white hull with black trim and boot striping.
Camano boats are available in two models: the Troll, which has a flybridge, and the Gnome, which is a stripped down version with a smaller engine and fewer standard systems. The Troll is a more popular choice among boaters.
Camano boats are simple, traditional, and functional. They are built for durability with a solid hand-laid fiberglass hull and can efficiently make passages at either displacement or planing speeds.
