Worth Noting: The 38 ZR Competition is Donzi’s quintessential model, winning a multitude of offshore racing titles and setting new parameters.
Legendary boat builder and powerboat racer, Don Aronow, founded Donzi in 1964. Debuting with a sleek, white 16’ speedster called a Ski Sporter, Donzi introduced the concept of the sleek, fiberglass speedboat designed by Jim Wynne.
The Ski Sporter was given the name Sweet 16, which served as the blueprint for future models. By 1965, Donzi was receiving orders from around the world. The Israeli military ordered Sweet 16 models to use as remote-operated live artillery, and the American government used Donzi boats to catch drug runners.
Donzi changed hands several times over a 40-year period, but has continued to maintain a reputation for some of the fastest boats on the water. Currently a division of Marine Holdings, Donzi sells powerboats all over North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia.
Admired for performance, quality construction, and style, Donzi’s diverse range of 20 unique recreational powerboat models ranges from 27 to 43 feet.
