Respected helmsman and yacht designer, C. Raymond Hunt, founded Hunt Yachts in 1947. Ray Hunt’s sailboat and powerboat designs won international championships. Hunt Yachts is unique in the powerboat industry because it’s the only boatbuilding firm formed and owned by naval architects.
Raymond Hunt Associates has grown into a leading international naval architect firm. A designer of commercial, military, and recreational vessels, Hunt Associates is famed for the Hunt deep-V hull, invented by Ray Hunt. This hull form has been adopted by the marine industry and acclaimed for its performance, seaworthiness, and comfort.
Hunt Yachts manufactures semi-custom luxury yachts in 12 models ranging from 25 to 68 feet. The Hunt deep-V hull is the brand’s iconic feature, which has been evolving for over 50 years to provide a softer, drier ride, an ability to tack straight up, dynamic stability at speed without loss of stability at rest, and fuel efficiency.
Hunt’s largest yacht to date, the Hunt 80, is currently under construction. In addition to naval architecture and design, Hunt provides a variety of services at Hunt Yachts Brokerage and Marine Services, a full-service marine facility conveniently located on Narragansett Bay in Portsmouth.
