Rinker Boat Company’s heritage dates back to the 1930’s when dairy farmer, Lossie "L.E." Rinker, began building fishing and racing boats on the White River in Indiana. Lossie’s sons, Jan and John, joined their father and founded Rinkerbuilt in Syracuse, Indiana in 1945.

Rinker’s first racing brand called Famous Craft was born in 1945. A decade later, Rinker introduced fiberglass boats along with innovations such as gel coat colors and back-to-back seating. Rinkerbuilt became international in 1968 with the shipment of 14 boats to Sweden.

During the 1970’s, Rinker built new runabout designs. Its most popular designs were the 15 and 17-foot tri-hull models, available with both outboard and inboard/outboard. Rinker was one of the first in the boat building industry to produce a fiberglass tri-hull.

A value leader with a variety of models built for comfort, performance, and versatility, Rinker currently manufactures a fleet of sport boats and express cruisers ranging from 18 to 42 feet.
