Shearline Boatworks, was founded in 2000 in Morehead City, North Carolina. The company started in a single garage bay with a crew of young men building a spec 30-foot center console. Owner, Chip King, leads the company with an extensive background in boat sales.

A builder of custom, wooden boats, Shearline uses detailed designs generated on computer software and parts cut from a computer-operated router.

Traditional North Carolina construction techniques are applied to each Shearline model. Hulls are cold-molded using the finest marine grade plywood available, hand laid fiberglass, and epoxy resins.

Shearline’s goal is to exceed the expectation of its clients. Shearline clients have the ability to design every aspect of their boat. Customers are encouraged to meet with the design team to discuss amenities and travel plans to help create the boat of their dreams.
