30' Trimaran 2000 Exit

Redondo Beach, CA, US

Previously Asking $29,500

Off Market

Description

The Avalon 9 meter was drawn by Australian Designer Ray Kendrick in 1998. Exit is one of a very few of these hard chined trimarans know to have been completed. It is a winner for day sailing, overnight cruising, and inshore point to point racing.  There is one other main feature.  The boat is designed to fold it’s out board hulls inward. This allows it to be trailerable at one third of it’s sailing beam.

After 2 years of construction in Redondo Beach California , Exit was launched in 2001.  Both the floats and main hull are made of epoxy and fiberglass over Gaboon plywood.  She has proven to be stable and fast in a variety of conditions. With a top speed of more than 24 knots,  the thrills are unavoidable.
