Yankee has had many years of improvements and maintenance over the years as follows;

• Hull is mahogany planks on oak frames. 1997 planking splines above the waterline, fared with 12 coats of primer and painted with 2 part epoxy paint.
• 2010 frames were spliced or sistered with new frames from midships to bow. (9 Planks replaced)
• Teak decks replaced and calked in 2005
• Toe rail restored and varnished
• Cabin sides refinished and varnished
