Mauna Loa means Long Mountain in Hawaiian and refers to the world's largest volcano. Images of the Pacific Islands automatically come to mind just reading or hearing the name. The construction was completed in 1997 and she had an interior refit in 2002.
Mauna Loa was sailed across the Atlantic after an extended stay in the Mediterrean. She is now cruising the southern Caribbean and is based in Grenada.
She was recently repowered with a Yanmar 160 hp engine that has 400 hours on her.
Mauna Loa has a 3 stateroom/ 2 head interior arrangement accented in naturals woods.
She features a comfortable pilothouse and is fully air conditioned with sleeping accomodations for 6.
Mauna Loa features a beautiful round bilge steel hull, teak decks, dual wheels for steering and an inside steering station along with a walk up transom.
