PELAGIAL is an extremely well built, recently upgraded 'pocket explorer' that boasts an impressive range of 3,000nm which is extremely impressive considering she is 70ft.
The current owner purchased her in 2015 and has done extensive upgrades such as full repaint of hull & superstructure at Driscolls in San Diego with new blue hull color, her Cummins N85M engines were rebuilt in October 2019 along with new exhaust system, in February 2020 her Naiad stabilizers were upgraded and in March 2020 her entire air conditioning system serviced.
Prior to her paint work being completed all steel plate work of the hull, bow, chain locker was replaced where needed and finished with new paint & complete new bottom job.
She represents excellent value especially considering the top pedigree that one associates with the Hakvoort brand.
PELAGIAL is a long range transoceanic yacht built by the renowned Hakvoort Shipyard in Holland. Ruggedly built in the Dutch tradition with a steel hull coupled by a common joint weld bond to the aluminum superstructure.
In 1996 the yacht was returned to the Hakvoort Yard for a major refit, including lengthening the structure 8 feet amidships and improving many of the systems, including new generators and a fuel polishing system as well as upgraded plumbing, wiring and much more.
PELAGIAL has had only three owners and has always enjoyed the care and maintenance of professional captains.
