BB Fine is an excellent example of designer Jim Krogen’s very successful exercise in a coastal cruiser with exceptional livability.  This boat is THE BEST liveaboard boat you will find that fits in a 40-foot slip.  And BB Fine is well equipped for the task! 

A full refit has just been completed.  All systems have been tested by a very knowledgeable owner/upfitter.  The work is done so now it’s time to enjoy BB Fine’s recent engine replacement (only 182 hours), galley remodel, and systems upgrade.  She also slips through the water very efficiently.  And even has fin stabilization so that you are comfortable even when the seas are a bit spicy.

Kadey-Krogen manufactured 99 of these popular coastal-cruising, liveaboard trawler yachts. BB Fine is hull number 56.  She boasts one-level living throughout, an innovative drop-down transom deck, heavy dinghy davit with 10’ dinghy, and a wonderful "back porch" that is perfect for sundowners after a day of adventure.

The fuel tank is full.  The bottom paint is just completed.  The woodwork is beautiful.  The upholstery is inviting. And the island queen bed is ready to make your next adventure so restful. 

A Tour

Boarding BB Fine happens from either boarding gate, or from the tip-down transom gate that doubles as a swimstep.  You are now in a wonderfully large covered cockpit area with teak sole and space for a table for four, and more.  Krogen owners call this the Back Porch.

Enter the salon from the back porch via wonderfully finished French doors. Inside, ceilings throughout are a molded fiberglass liner with teak-capped rails—simply beautiful. To starboard is a Dickinson diesel stove.  Completing the seating area is a built-in settee to port, plus space for your favorite seating to starboard.  A generous drop-leaf table is ready for dining or projects.

Multiple points of access to her engine area are below the cockpit & salon floors. The nicely remodeled galley features plentiful cabinetry, new countertop and sink, a brand new propane stove with oven and microwave and custom Seafreeze refrigerator/freezer that offers tremendous space and efficiency.

Opposite the galley is a generously-sized head.  This light and bright space makes getting ready for the day easy.  Even the black-water plumbing has been renewed so there is no drama.  Just more comfort.

Moving forward, the master suite features extensive built-in storage space: closets, cabinets, vanity, under-berth drawers and a wonderful island queen mattress.  Ventilation from three sides insures your comfort.
