- Molded cored fiberglass with laminated hull to deck joint, laminated continuous 2" × 6" dimensional wood longitudinal stringers, laminated plywood bulkheads, and partitions.
- Hull Topsides (chine to waterline): Topsides are slab-sided/vertical, cored below the rub rail, protected by an aluminum guard forward; through-bolted with backing plates, dual rub rail at the sheer; screw-fastened into a laminated plywood doubler.
- Transom is notched in the way of drives; dual drives mounted, with exhaust flanges adjacent.
- Hull Bottom: Hull bottom is a deep-vee configuration with tapered chine flats, multiple bottom running strakes. Bow sections; chine has molded belly (convex curvature), stem to doors, modified from the original vessel design by adding molded sponsons, laminated hollow-shaped box sections over the original hull chines, extending back to the dive/recovery door openings, overlapping the chine forward to increase buoyancy and positively affect the running attitude underway.
- Weather deck: Molded cored fiberglass with nonskid at runways. Notch is provided at the stem head for roller (none fitted), followed by athwartship oval mount for fire nozzles/plumbing for firefighting equipment.
- Wheelhouse: Molded fiberglass with aluminum-framed windows; forward windscreens angled with wipers; post is tapered bottom to top between window sections.
- Machinery Space: Access with fore and aft split hatches; forward hoists manually with dual locks; rear with electric hoist braced to the center/keel stringer between the propulsion plants. Hatches with gaskets and gutters with drains clogged with debris.
The subject vessel is designed to meet the requirements for hull bottom panel deflection and stability (ISO 12217-1), categorized as "Ocean Service" per documentation issued by Naval Architects Morrelli and Melvin of Huntington Beach, CA, subject to a maximum crew limit of 8 persons aboard. Fire monitors are mounted fore and aft; rotating approximately 300 degrees, with an apparent overlap, fitted with electric valves/controls. The vessel is equipped with a joystick for bow monitor control and Akron fingertip controls for the stern monitor, which can be removed and stored for transport.
