In 2010, they sailed the boat down the West Coast to Mexico, then spent almost a year sailing in the Sea of Cortez and the Mexican Coast as far South as Manzanillo before sailing back up the West Coast to Bellingham. The Pacific Seacraft served them well in all their travels.
This Pacific Seacraft 40 was manufactured in 1996 at the Fullerton, California Factory. The boat was designed by William Crealock and is hull #6 with berthing for seven. The layout starts forward with a double V-berth, hanging locker and custom drawers and cabinets for storage. Aft of the forward cabin is the main salon with dining table to starboard surrounded by a U-shaped settee capable of seating six comfortably. The dining table converts to a double berth. To port, there is a settee, which will also serve has a single berth. There is a dining table extension that can be installed to increase dining seating to eight. Moving aft to starboard is the U-shaped galley with 3-burner propane stove/oven, huge refrigerator/freezer and plenty of cabinet storage and countertop space. The galley is outfitted with deep double sinks, hot and cold pressure water system and manual foot pumps for both fresh and salt water. The navigation station is to the port opposite the galley. Portside aft is the head with a large separate shower stall. Across from the head is the aft cabin with a double berth and hanging locker. Ventilation is excellent throughout the boat through fourteen opening ports and five hatches.
