MILAGRO is a beautiful Catalina 42 MK II in OUTSTANDING condition with lots of extra equipment. he is a must see!!! Hull #930, built in Woodland Hills, CA completed and delivered in August, 2005 by Catalina Yachts. The Catalina 42 Mark II has earned an international reputation as the leader in her class. Design, cruising performance, and comfort, all make the Catalina 42 the first choice of sailors worldwide.
Milagro is a two owner boat, the first owner for 16 years extensively equipped and upgraded for full time, live aboard cruising anywhere in the world. Included are too many spares to list and loose equipment including fenders, dock lines, shore power cords and adaptors, anchor bridles, etc. The Hookah set up allows you to clean the bottom at anchor with ease of clear rope from the propeller if it is fouled. The solar set up negates the need to connect to shore power. Extensive range of Electrical tools, full set of wrenches, metric and imperial, socket sets, hull polisher, shop vac, easy outs, tap and die sets and cupboards full of spares to cover virtually everything on the boat. The tool set is more than sufficient to cover everything on the boat. There are ample fans throughout the boat, window shades, hatch covers to keep the sun out and the boat cooler.
The current owner cruised this boat for the last 2 years extensively throughout the Sea of Cortez and mainland Mexico as a solo sailor without any mishaps, breakdowns or non functioning gear. The boat is fast under sail, motors at 7 knots at 2200 rpm. The boat is set up for single handed sailing, no reason to leave the shelter of the cockpit as everything is led aft. If you wish to review the full cruising season of Milagro, 50 videos are available in her Youtube channel @ sailingmilagro
From the Owner: “I challenge you to find a better equipped cruising Catalina 42 anywhere. The boat, equipment is in excellent order throughout. It has been properly maintained and everything on the boat works”.
The boat is a truly ready to go cruiser, there is nothing to add or spend. Fully equipped, the current owner will leave everything aboard just taking personal effects. Bring your clothes, pick up some groceries and you’re ready to go wherever you might imagine. Slip may be transferred.
Located in the heart of the world’s best cruising grounds. La Paz, Mexico, the gateway to the Sea of Cortez. Dozens of gorgeous anchorages with white sand beaches, crystal clear warm turquoise water, many within a days sail to downtown La Paz.

Milagro is configured with a Pullman cabin forward and a double cabin aft. There are two heads and a separate, enclosed shower. Professionally done additional or improved storage is evident throughout the boat. No Catalina 42 anywhere has this much storage.
She is a 2 cabin configuration with an enclosed shower in the forepeak followed by a full head. This head is equipped with a Jabsco Quiet Flush 12v electric toilet with a household sized bowl. It is plumbed to use either fresh or salt water and to discharge overboard or into its dedicated 32 gallon holding tank. Hoses have been recently removed and cleaned , replaced where necessary
There is a Pullman berth to port with considerable storage to port and starboard. Factory cabinetry was improved and/or added to, to create more storage than original. Professional shipwright John Buckles, Oakland, CA did all of the woodwork. This berth is equipped with a lee cloth and a mosquito net constructed of netting material tight enough to defeat “no-see-ums” and a 27” flat screen TV with masthead antenna.
The main saloon has ultra leather upholstery throughout – new in 2019 – along with more professional custom cabinetry improvements and a 32” flat screen TV with masthead antenna. The nav station is to starboard along with a loveseat settee. Extra teak grab handles are installed at several stations around the cabin.
The port side L shaped galley features a gimbaled Force 10 three burner stove with oven, deep double sinks with cover, microwave oven, stovetop cover/cutting board and, again, more professional custom cabinet work including a large cupboard over the sink and enclosed areas under the microwave and the portside cupboards. Adler-Barber 12.6 cu/ft 12v refrigeration with top and front door access and a top access, deep well for dry storage or conversion to fridge/freezer. There is very generous pantry storage aft and even more storage in the “garage” aft of that.
The starboard midship head features private access from the aft berth as well as the main cabin and is equipped with shower capability and a shower sump. The head is a Jabsco Quiet Flush 12v electric flush toilet with a full sized bowl and is plumbed for fresh water flush and discharge to its dedicated 27 gallon holding tank.
Aft and to starboard is a berth that has been professionally modified to create 2 single berths with considerable storage under the raised, hull side berth. The upper berth is equipped with a lee cloth. If not used as a sleeping berth(s) this is a tremendous area for organized, accessible storage. All modifications here are designed to be easily removed in order to return the area to the original double bed configuration should that be desired.
