Spunky was built in Marion, SC and was a fresh water boat in Chicago from 2003 – 2021. The current owners purchased the boat in April 2021 and reconditioned bottom added 4 coats of epoxy barrier coat and new bottom paint. After which, they enjoyed coastal cruising between New England and Florida for two seasons as well as spending one season to the Bahamas.
In 2023 the owners made a number of upgrades to the boat which include the following:
The boat has a nicely varnished teak caprail and is clean and in very good mechanical condition. She has all the equipment needed for coastal cruising. She sails and motors well with a hull speed of 8.9 knots. She is easy to handle from the cockpit with the roller furling sail systems. The owners report that she is very comfortable on offshore passages.
If you are looking for a sailboat that sails well, is comfortable, that has been well maintained and is truly ready to go, you need to take a closer look at Spunky.
