This Dufour 410 GL is set up for the cruising sailor who wants to extract the maximum amount of performance, all while maintaining simplicity and "comfortable-cockpit" sail-ability for a couple or solo sailor. In 2023, the current owner turbo-charged the rig (new mast & boom), and added roughly 30% additional sail area. At the same time, he added a Harken self-tacking jib system, Harken MK4 Ocean headstay, Harken Vangmaster vang, and Harken electric rewind primary winches -- and all new Quantum CDX performance sails (a self-tacking jib, and bigger main with added roach). "Audacious" features a 3 cabin, one head layout. As a bonus, the saloon settee converts to a berth, offering the ability to provide for 8 people to sleep comfortably. Opposite on the starboard side are two seats with a nav table in the middle. The large head and shower are located to port mid-ship. The master cabin is forward with a queen centerline berth (new custom mattress 2023) and ample storage throughout the cabin. Two extra wide aft cabins (new custom mattresses in 2023) are on either side of the companionway. The recent addition of a 16,000 BTU air conditioning unit cools it all down in the summer. The sizeable cockpit, wide and grippy side decks, and the flip down swim platform are features to make cruising more enjoyable.
