All metal parts are connected to external zincs with #8 and #6 AWG bonding wire. In addition, there is a 1/32 X 1/2" bonding strip on both sides of forward machinery space and engine room.
Below the waterline is solid fiberglass with Kevlar reinforced stem and stern bottom areas and Vinyl Ester resins used in the first two (2) laminates. A combination of Knyx, mat and Airex is used above the waterline for added resiliency as well as improved sound and thermal insulation. The superstructure includes Knytex combined with end-grained balsa and/or Divinycell coring and surface mats (to reduce print-through). Cook gelcoat is used on the superstructure. The aft and side decks are track, and the foredeck and boat deck is finished with GripTex non-skid. Freeman water-tight doors and GEBO windows have been used throughout the vessel.
