Construction

This composite construction is crafted using female moulds developed by Oyster in their custom facility. The material consists of vinylester and polyester resin, with a white special NPG gelcoat on the outer topside. The laminate incorporates E-Glass, Kevlar, and Carbon Fiber for a strong and versatile structure.Above the waterline, the topside features a high-tech, balsa-cored E-Glass/Carbon sandwich laminate applied with vacuum bagging techniques. Below the waterline, the hull utilizes a monolithic composite laminate with an Aramid/Kevlar layer, reinforced by stringers and floors. The addition of BS1088 standard marine ply structural bulkheads enhances the structure's robustness, providing excellent strength-to-weight qualities and proven longevity. Further reinforcements are integrated into the design, including the keel recess, keel longitudinals, mast bulkhead, P-bracket, forestay, and hull stringers.Limber holes or tubes are strategically installed for drainage. Stringers, bulkhead-landings, and floors are shaped over a non-structural, inert polyurethane foam to optimize performance and durability.
