AMANTE was custom built by Delta Marine in Seattle Washington USA and launched in 1994. In 1984 Delta Marine was approached by a client and asked to build a "yacht" quality ocean passagemaker based on the the powerful lines of Delta's Alaska commercial seiner hull for the dream of a lifetime circumnavigation. Under power, and with family and friends along to share the adventure. Safety, reliability, range and comfort were the objectives of the design. Here we have an experienced Yachtsman on a mission and with a vision. Based on their successful commercial industry experience and the powerful lines of the Delta hull designed by noted Naval Architect Steve Seaton the quest was on! This first in this series of boats Delta launched was the incredibly successful and beautiful ZOPILOTE. Two years and 35,000 nautical miles later passaging under power was a reality and the "Expedition" class vessel was born. AMANTE is an excellent example of this design and the craftsmanship each and every Delta receives. AMANTE is ready for any NZ cruising adventure or a trip to the Islands. AMANTE is a small ship with "big boat" systems in a size easily managed by a couple, two couples or a small family.
AMANTE was painted from the top of the mast to the bottom of the keel in late 2019. The bottom was taken back to bare fiberglass, the hull faired and prepped to deliver an incredible finish. AMANTE will not disappoint and will meet the expectations of any rigorous inspection.

AMANTE is a true pilothouse layout with side access doors on both sides of the helm station and a full Portuguese Bridge forward. On the foredeck the ground tackle is easily managed here or from the helm. This ground tackle has been carefully thought out and over engineered, when properly deployed - an easy night's sleep will be your reward! Up a short ladder from the Boat Deck to the Flybridge, you will find a full helm station with engine controls, engine instrumentation, electronics and port and starboard wing stations to make docking easily accomplished from either side of the boat. There are (2) pedestal helm chairs in addition to a settee with storage below. Back down to the pilothouse, most operation of the of the vessel underway is done from the raised helm seats (comfy for those long runs and overnight passages) with easy to read instruments, well placed engine and thruster controls, complete and ergonomically placed electronics. The pilothouse also features an "L" shaped raised seating area to starboard with table and a single "watch-berth" behind. There is a desk/workspace area to port and storage here for navigation gear. To complete the "cruising in style" theme is a fridge for cold drinks and a coffee bar locker for hot drinks underway.
Down seven easy steps from the Pilothouse to the main level of the boat. Entering the main deck from the cockpit you find yourself in a "near" full beam salon that easily seats 10 to 12 guests or family or could easily do "drinks and nibbles" for 20. To port is a large 5 seater sofa with a beautiful raised teak table for meals, drinks or board games. To starboard is another large seating area that features a custom sofa for 5 and two occasional chairs. The entire salon is finished in a warm teak with contrasting colours and touches that draw you in to the comfort and relaxation this space offers. All new "soft goods" and carpet throughout in 2017. There is a custom entertainment system, large screen TV (installed for easy viewing anywhere in the salon) and LED lighting throughout. This salon size is hard to find in 75-80 foot vessels. There is a three-seat breakfast bar that divides the salon from the galley and provides a casual space for occasional meals, snacks for the kids or a great position to share the Galley area with the cook. Forward, past the breakfast bar to starboard is a true "Chef's galley". "Starry Night" Quartz countertops ad an element of elegance and practicality to the Galley. Quartz tops are more durable and are scratch and scorch proof, so the average kitchen spill will not harm the surface. Full size "house" refrigerator, full size "house" stove and oven, dishwasher, trash compactor and coffee machine. Nothing is missing from this galley and nothing to upgrade. To port of the Galley is a large bar area forward with glass and bottle storage, access to the lower cabin area is also to port. The stateroom located on the main deck is forward and to starboard and features a twin bed arrangement with ensuite head compartment, electric head, stall shower, sink, vanity and excellent storage. Continuing forward there is a passageway to port that is completely dedicated to pantry style storage providing the space that can keep you underway for months at a time. All the way forward on the main level is the Equipment room including a full stand up workbench and stair access to the engine room below. The engine room is a testament to excellence in design and systems engineering derived from Delta Marine's commercial marine experience.
The Master stateroom and third stateroom are located one level down and accessed via a stairway opposite the galley. The Master features a Queen size walk around bed, large built in settee, sumptuous fabrics and finishes. Here there is a queen size, walk-around bunk situated in the middle of the compartment. To starboard is a lounge/settee with bookshelves and special reading lights, to port is the large head/shower compartment. Hidden in the forward bulkhead is the Master's entertainment center. w/ TV and Nakamichi sound equipment. There is abundant gear storage in both hanging lockers and drawers. Easy to be away on this boat for several months or years. The 2nd stateroom on this level also features and Queen berth, ensuite head with shower compartment and abundant clothes and gear storage.
"Starry Night" Quartz countertops add an element of elegance and practicality to the Galley. Quartz tops are more durable and are scratch and scorch proof, so the average kitchen spill will not harm the surface. Full size galley w/ shoreside amenties. Full size "house" refrigerator, full size "house" stove and oven, "house" size pantry, separate refrigeratrion and freezer options, abundant dish and dry good storage, new dishwasher, trash compactor and coffee machine. Nothing is missing from this galley and nothing to update.

Laundry:
Down a semi-spiral stairway from the galley (port side), the laundry/linen locker is to port in the passageway. Whirlpool large capacity thin-twin combo machines are nicely fitted into this space which also includes a extractor fan in the compartment.
To reach the pilothouse, enter through doors from either side deck or ascend the
stairway from the galley area. Here there are twin helm seats facing the console with instrumentation and controls forward. Behind the helm chairs is a U-Line day fridge and coffee/hot drink station. Additional engine and navigation instrumentation is overhead of the helm area. A large chart table and drawers for chart storage are to port. Aft to starboard is an "L" shaped dinette followed by a "watch" berth. To port is an office/ships management area with built-in desk and swivel chair. The Pilothouse is an extraordinarily accommodating and useful command station which defines the vessel's long-range goals. A "Portuguese Bridge" permits access to the bow from either side of the deck; as well as the starboard side boarding gate via an exterior stairway.
