Technical Characteristics Of Motor-yacht, Classification And Certificates

The boat, including its machinery, equipment and out fittings, will be constructed in accordance to the safety rules and regulations established by Directive 2013/53/UE. It will be the responsibility of the Constructor shipyard to realize and deliver a motor yacht with drawings and specifications that are state-of-the-art. At the delivery of the boat, the Constructor shipyard will obtain and supply the following documents and certificates required for the registration: CE Certification; CE Conformity Declaration; Owner’s Manual; Compass error chart; Any other certifications are considered optional and, therefore, will be quoted separately. Performance equipped MAN 12 V - 2000 2000 hp / 1471 kW @ 2300 rpm: Cruising speed 22.0 knots Maximum speed at half load 27.0 knots Range cruising speed 380 N.M. Performance equipped MTU 16V – 2000 M96 2434 hp / 1790 kW @ 2450 rpm: Cruising speed 27.0 knots Maximum speed at half load 32.0 knots Range cruising speed 340 N.M. Notes: 1. The performance of the boat is not guaranteed, as the displacement may vary depending on the internal and external equipment on board. Construction And Hull Shape

The boat is built in three parts: • HULL • DECK • SUPERSTRUCTURE The boat is completely designed and built according to the standards of Italian Naval Register who supervises all construction steps in the yard, granting that both the structural and the non-structural parts are made with the most advanced techniques and materials. The first three layers of the hull lamination are made using fiberglass (type E) impregnated with vinyl resin, which grants high osmosis prevention for its particular chemo-physical properties. Isophthalic polyester resin, approved by the major Classification Registers, laminates the remaining parts. The boat hull has a varied structure: the bottom is built with longitudinal and transverse stringers, and bulwarks are built in a sandwich structure. Sandwich construction is used for the deck and the superstructure. GRP of the best quality and with high mechanical features is used as the core. All the structural bulkheads are made of a sandwich of laminar plywood approved by the Italian Naval Register. The hull bottom is deep V type with 12° DEADRISE on the stern. The boat construction is completed with GRP furniture and accessories on the deck, swimming platform, and roll bar.
Propulsion

Equipped MAN 12 V - 2000 2000 hp / 1471 kW @ 2300 rpm: Main engines: V 12-cylinder gasoline engines, 24.24 pts., 157 mm stroke, bore 128 mm, continuous range 1471 Kw. (2000 hp) at 2300 rpm. Generators/inverters: ZF type 2060 V Transmission: V-drive with universal joint Propellers: NAB alloy or equivalent, 4 blades, progressive pitch, designed to optimize the boat’s performance and to grant the highest cruising comfort. Shafts: MARINOX 17 alloy or equivalent; bearings and pipes in brass alloy. Oil-lubricated stuffing box. Equipped version MTU 16V – 2000 M96 2434 hp / 1790 Kw @ 2450 rpm: Main engines: V 16-cylinder gasoline engines, 35.70 pts., 156 mm stroke, bore 135 mm, continuous range 1790 Kw. (2434 hp) at 2450 rpm. Generators/inverters: ZF type 3060 V Transmission: V-drive with universal joint Propellers: NAB alloy or equivalent, 4 blades, progressive pitch, designed to optimize the boat’s performance and to grant the highest cruising comfort. Steering System – Manoeuver - Trim

Rudders: AISI 316 L brass rudders of a suitable surface for the highest maneuverability. Brass rudder holes, bars in MARINOX 17 or equivalent. Brass coupling bars and arms. Flaps: AISI 316 L stainless steel surface trim tabs are suitable to grant a constant trim. Bow Thruster: 300 Hp model (power at propeller)
Electrical System

Specifications The electrical system is installed in accordance with the present I.E.C., C.E.I., and CE standards. The rated voltage on board is: • 220 V AC mono-phase, 50 Hz, for motive power circuits, sockets, TV and Hi Fi. • 24 V DC for lights, navigation instruments and small motive power circuits. • 12 V CC for the generator start-up circuit. Main switch panel The main switch panel, on which all system lines are connected, is located in the engine room. The lines are protected by magneto-thermic switches of suitable power. The switch panel is made of two parts, one of which contains the 220V mono-phase power generation and distribution, and the other the 24V DC power generation and distribution. Both parts of the switch panel feed all 220V mono 50 Hz and 24V DC circuits through magneto-thermic switches of suitable power. A complete interface allows one to command all the main necessary operations directly from the wheelhouse. Electric cables The used electric cables are “not propagating the flame and reduced emission of smoke and toxic gases.” FROR cables for the 220 V AC section and double isolated cables for the 24 V DC section. The electric cables are assembled in self-extinguishing closed PVC raceways and are made with anti-flame propagation materials; the cross-section of cables is suitably dimensioned to relate to the maximum allowed current load. Grounded system The grounded system consists of the following: • A copper stripe in the engine room collects the grounds of the water inlets, the supports, the rudders, and the 24 V equipment. This copper stripe is connected to a zinc anode fitted on the transom. • The engines and their exchanges have a ground system connected to a second zinc anode fitted on the transom. • The generator, the electrical panel, and all users of the alternate current are connected to a porous plate fitted under the hull. • The navigation instruments are connected to a second porous plate under the hull.    
Alternating Current Power Sources

Generator Two 27 kW generators, KOHLER 220 mono-phase 50Hz, are in the engine room. Installed on silent blocks and fitted with a control panel and soundproof cabin. The generator battery is charged by the generator (when operating) and by an appropriate 12 V battery charger. The system allows the parallel use of generator batteries. Shore power Two 50 Amp, 220 V mono-phase 50Hz shore power connections. The plug on the left is able to feed all the users on board, while the one on the left is dedicated exclusively to the air conditioning. Inverter When the CA 220 V section is unavailable, a 00 W inverter (connected to the service batteries) will feed onboard the entertainment, the sockets in the cabins, and the fridge in the galley.
Dc Power Sources

24 V Batteries The batteries on board are the following: • Set of service batteries of 1100 A/h; • Set of 400 A/h of engine starter batteries; • Set of batteries of 200 A/h for MTU electronic. One 240 A/h battery charger, 27,5 V (3 independent units of 80 A each), and a charge distribution system allow the charging of all battery sets and feeding all 24 V users on board. The battery cut-out levers are operated electrically from a panel situated in the aft cockpit. A manual driving gear is also foreseen in the engine room. The system allows parallel use of the engine starter batteries and the service batteries. 12V Batteries • Two 105 A/h generator batteries (for each generator); The generator batteries are charged from a 20 A battery charger. Alternators There are two 24V – 120 A alternators connected to the main engines to keep the batteries on board charged. The alternator on the left is connected to the engine starter batteries, while the one on the right is connected to the service batteries.

Bilge Pump System

Central bilge pump system with a suction system in each watertight compartment. The main drainpipe is situated in the engine room. Bilge suction in the bilge compartments and discharge overboard functions alternatively through an electric motor pump or a manual pump, in accordance with Security Rules. Automatic electric submersible bilge pumps are placed in each watertight compartment to keep the bilges constantly dry. A water level detector (with an automatic set in the action of the automatic bilge pump) is located in each watertight compartment with an alarm on synoptic display in the helm station.
Fire-fighting And Safety System

The fire-fighting system vessel’s foresees a portable extinguishers accordingly to the security rules. For the protection of the engine room is installed a system, integrated with centralized system, able to stop the entrance of the fuel to the main engines and generators, the same allows the closure of the “cut-fire” shutters on ventilation ducts and extinguishing of the fans and extractors. The centralized system's operation starts with an activation handle located in the cockpit. In the case of download the system is equipped with loud and visual alarm. The fire is detected by means of smoke and temperature detectors, as indicated by the alarm on the panel in the wheelhouse.
Fuel System

The fuel system consists of two connected alloy tanks set in the engine room, with a total capacity of 8.500 liters; the whole system is provided with electric and optic level gauges. Fuel fills on the port and on the starboard can be separately filled. The piping is of approved proof-fire metal type. The whole fuel system is fitted with filters according to the engine manufacturer’s indications.
Fresh Water System

Fresh water is supplied to the system by two aluminum tanks with a total capacity of 1.600 liters, which are located in the cabin area. One 24V pressure water pump of suitable capacity and a second 220V pressure water pump, working alternatively should one fail to operate, are located in the engine room. A shorewater connection allows the supply of fresh water to the system, making use of the shorewater system pressure. One 220-volt water heater of 120-liter capacity supplies hot water to the whole circuit. The freshwater system also supplies the W.C. system for flushing.
Black And Grey Water System

Waste waters from showers, washbasins, galley, fan-coils condensate, dish-washer and washing machine are collected in a grey water tank of 300 litres capacity located in the engine room bilge. The grey water tank is emptied through an emptying 24 V motor pump located near the tank with automatic timed control or manual control (from the helm station). Toilet waste waters are collected in a black water holding tank (capacity 500 Litres) fitted with a 24 V macerating self-priming electro-motor pump located in the engine room, which can be operated manually or automatically, discharging overboard or in special sewers on the quay. The macerating pump control is in the helm station and the engine room. The main piping is in GRP, while the discharging pipes are in plain rubber against bad odors.
Sea Water System

The main seawater inlets are in the engine room bilge, each fitted with an on-off valve and stainless steel filter; they supply the main circuits on board, the engine and reversing gear cooling system, the generators, the fire pump, and the air conditioning system. The cooling system of each engine is also used to cool the reversing gear, the bow thruster’s refrigerant, and the exhaust gas RAISERS; part of the cooling water is discharged overboard. 
Main Engines Exhaust System

The exhaust pipes of the main engines are AISI 316 and sized up according to the engine manufacturer’s indications. The main exhaust manifold is connected to the GRP underwater exhaust, part of the hull. A bypass on the GRP section of the exhaust allows the discharge of exhaust gas when the vessel stops or by reduced speed. The engine exhaust pipes are suitably insulated with ceramic material, on the side in GRP there are the pyrometers for temperature.
Air Conditioning

The system consists of a thermally treated water circuit. The refrigerating unit, fitted with a heat pump, cools or heats the water and glycol mixture, which is delivered to terminal fan units in each room through a suitably insulated circulation motor pump and a closed circuit of plastic pipes. The condenser of the refrigerating unit is cooled by forced seawater circulation. A water-air exchanger with a centrifugal fan in the terminal fan units provides for room cooling or heating, depending on the season and the required inside conditions.
Oleodynamic Systems

Helm-station The electronic steering system operates the two twin rudders through a hydraulic piston connected to the rudder bars. The electrohydraulic station is powered by 240V d.c, located in the engine room, and is equipped with its own tank. It works with the servo-rudder both during the manual manoeuver and during the navigation with the autopilot (when activated). Flaps The hydraulic flap system operates with hydraulic pistons connected directly to the flaps. The electro-hydraulic station is fed to 24V DC, is located in the engine room, and is equipped with its own tank. The flaps are controlled by an appropriate keyboard located in the wheelhouse.
Insulation

The entire engine room is insulated with sound-absorbing and sound-insulating material for perfect soundproofing and heat insulation of the engine room and surrounding areas. The main engine mufflers are suitably insulated with heat-insulating and heat-absorbing material. The space between the ceiling, superstructure, and dashboard is insulated with heat-absorbing material. The partition bulkheads are made of sandwich and grant a high sound insulation between cabins with thermo-insulating and sound-absorbing characteristics.
Engine Room

Access sala Motori There are two access points to the engine room. The first is a manhole on the aft cockpit area. The second is a pantograph door accessible from the swimming platform. Both accesses are approved dimensions by the according Rules. Ventilation and extraction Engine room ventilation and extraction are of suitable dimensions according to the main engine manufacturer’s instructions. The ventilation of the engine room is guaranteed by four blowers/extractors located in the four corners of the engine room. The air aspiration grill is placed on the sides of the superstructure at the bow on the walk-a-rounds. The extraction grills are placed on the sides of the hull. It can vary depending on the layout chosen.
