Aletheia(ex-Journey's End) is one of the world renowned Lyman-Morse Seguin 44s designed by Sparkman & Stephens. In this small group she is at the top, when it comes to condition and upgrades. She is the only one with a TDS deck and a carbon fiber rig. She is one of three that has a custom blade rudder greatly improving her sailing. The current owner has also updated all the electronics with Garmin equipment.
Stored at Lyman-Morse in Camden in a heated bay, Aletheia can be sailing the whole season with no work projects needed. Lyman-Morse Seguins do not come on the market very often. Any discerning sailor should be quick to come see Aletheia. This is a vessel you can easily daysail, but for those looking to cruise, whether in the bays, down the coast or across the oceans, this Seguin is built for it.

The Sequin 44 hull was hand laid-up utilizing foam coring above the waterline and a solid glass hull below the water line. The original hull was delivered with a gel-coat finish and has since been painted with Awlgrip. Utilizing modern build practices at the time of build along with strong adherence to the designers, Sparkman & Stephens, layup schedule the hull is exceptionally well built and proven hull.
The deck of the Aletheia is aesthetically pleasing with a very classical feel. Looking closer though you will notice that below the surface this very modern and built to last. One has to go no further than to look at the teak decks and the lack of bungs. The teak decks on, Aletheia, were replaced in 2014 and the a laminated Teak Decking System was installed that is far superior to screwed down teak decks and offer added protection for the sub decks without losing the classic proven feel of teak. Along with the new decks, all exterior wood was stripped and refinished in 2015 and the chain plates where pulled for inspection and then rebedded. Moving from bow to stern:
