The Hanse 505 is designed with sail performance in mind. The 7’ rudder and 8’ keel create incredible stability, helm responsiveness and maneuverability in any conditions. The hull shape and a modern, powerful sail plan allow for impressive speed and agility in various wind conditions. The Hanse 505 can easily do 7.5kts in 13kts AWS and 9kts in 16 - 19kts AWS and enjoy sustained speeds of 9.8kts - 10.6kts every time and point super close (28-32 degrees to the wind) and tacks in blazing speed.  The Hanse 505 does exceptionally well on all points of sail, making it an exhilarating experience whether you’re cruising along the coast or facing a challenging race.
