"Blue Magic" is a 51' (LOA) Custom Downeast Flybrige Cruiser designed by Spencer Lincoln. Her hull was built by Atlantic Boat Co (Duffy) and then finished to the highest yachting standards by renowned boatbuilder, Lyman-Morse in Thomaston, Me.
“Blue Magic” may very well be one of the nicest Downeast vessels on the market today. A 1995 Duffy 48’ hull finished by Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding, she has been impeccably maintained by her original and current owners. “Blue Magic” is a true testament to how a yacht should be maintained. Pearly white spotless bilges, cockpit lazarettes and lockers throughout the boat. An engine room that feels more like it belongs on a crewed Superyacht! Filing cabinets with detailed maintenance records, custom systems manuals and on and on. A true classic in superb condition that is turn-key ready for her next lucky owners. Located in heated storage at Lyman-Morse in Thomaston, ME “Blue Magic” is offered at $480,000 and represented by Lyman-Morse Broker Eric Roos.

Blue Magic's" interior layout is just superb. With an 18'3" beam her volume is impressive and gives the impression she is a larger yacht than her specifications suggest. Finished in satin varnished Maple, she feels bright and airy and the open area between main salon and galley adds to the appeal.
The galley is almost entirely enclosed and prefect for cooking while underway. There is extensive refrigeration and freezer space with 3 separate units. A large deep freezer is located under the galley sole and perfect for provisioning for longer cruises. Both top and front loading doors make access to the other units great.
The master cabin is just forward of the galley and offers a two-bunk split berth with dressing seat on centerline. Lots of cabinetry and storage on both port and starboard sides. A dedicated owner's head is to port, and an oversized stall shower on centerline is shared with the starboard guest cabin. The guest cabin has its own head and also offers two oversized single berths with lots of cabinetry and storage throughout. Excellent lighting (both natural and with lights) and ventilation throughout the entire vessel.
With two fully equipped and functioning helm areas, her operator has the best of both worlds. With the handy sliding helm side-door amidships, moving about with lines and fenders is safe and easy and provides excellent visibility when docking.
The main salon is flooded with natural light. An oversize custom Maple drop-leaf table can easily seat 6. Both port and starboard settees can also expand inboard to create additional sleeping areas while cruising or during passage-making.
The large teak cockpit area aft is accessed through a set of main salon doors on centerline. (4) or more teak chairs easily fit in this area without impeding the flybridge ladder, engine room door or access to the convenient washer and dryer to stbd of the companionway. An offset opening transom door makes getting on and off the tender or using the dinghy davits a breeze. Teak side steps allow easy access to the side decks or to get on and off the boat at the dock.
Her flybridge is expansive. Accessed by the staircase/ladder to port in the aft cockpit, her stainless hand rails allow passage up/down even in rough seas. (3) Swivel chairs provide seating for those wanting the best view by the helm. Additional bench seating with storage below is behind the helm. A convenient dumb waiter to port makes it easy to dine up on the flybridge. The vessels sturdy mast is equipped with a Lewmar electric winch for hoisting the dinghy from the water and into her custom teak chocks. The 6-man life raft is secure and out of the way on the cabin-top as well. The flybridge is fully equipped with all the navigation equipment needed and a 3-bow Bimini provides shade from the elements. Lastly, her engine room rivals those commonly found on superyachts. Impeccably organized, clean and extremely well maintained, this machinery space is very well laid out with good access and serviceability. Both her original and current owner maintained the boat well above typical standards. The yachts filing cabinets are filled with updated records, manuals and service history. Without a doubt, "Blue Magic" is a very rare Downeast Flybridge Cruiser in top-notch condition. Between her Lyman-Morse build quality, her proven Spencer Lincoln design and well respected Duffy hull characteristics, this Lyman-Morse may very well be one of the finest vessels of her caliber available today.
