UPDATE: Dec 11, 2024. Owners Report - Upgraded Carina Continues Her World Cruise!   Carina is now in Aruba in the Dutch Antilles and will be in Cartagena, Columbia in a few days. Then to Shelter Bay Marina before passage through the Panama Canal.  By February / March Carina will be in the French Polynesia islands and Tahiti.     

"Open Wallet", professional refitting has included:

July 2024

• All the standing rigging replaced to top US quality wire and fittings. Work is being done Turbulence Marine professional riggers.
• New storm staysail and new full-size staysail. Code Zero sail has been remade with 50% new cloth.

November 2023

• New mainsail, new heavy duty staysail/storm jib, rigging survey and overhaul, new Selden spinnaker pole and system. 
• New Raymarine autopilot
• New Raymarine MFD in pod over starboard helm
• Two Solar panels (1.2 kw) over davits 
• Two (2) new refrigerator/freezers
• Yanmar 1000 hr overhaul completed

April 2023

• A complete bottom job back to gelcoat with full professional paint job (primers, undercoat and three coats of antifouling) 
• Rudder was dropped, new bearings fitted, new prop shaft bearing fitted; full prop service was completed
• New Watermaker was fitted,
• New Paguro 6.5 KW Generator was fitted,
• Custom designed and built SS High Level Davits with 1.2 KW Solar Panels were fitted 
• A new 3.4 m Highfield Classic Dinghy with new 15 HP Honda 4S outboard is also included.

In "Bristol" condition, Carina has more than proven her blue water cruising prowess with speed, safety and comfort...having completed previous sailings to the Canary Islands in December 2023 and then across the Atlantic to the Caribbean in January 2024, a 19-day passage to Barbados and other various islands.
