The interior of the Hallberg-Rassy 342 is finished with high-quality mahogany with a two-component matte silk varnish, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The flush-mounted interior locker doors feature invisible hinges and built-in end stoppers, enhancing the clean and seamless design. Lighting is well-positioned throughout the yacht, and curtains are fitted for the side portlights and hatches. The floors are made of teak with inlaid holly stripes. Inspection openings in the floorboards provide easier access to valves, the speed transducer, and the bilge and white headliner with mahogany inlays brightens the interior. Saloon The saloon features two settees with backrests that raise for more room as sea berths, along with lee cloths for added safety while sailing. There are four reading lamps and lockers above the sofas, as well as stowage space underneath the starboard side saloon sofa. A drop-leaf centerline dining table provides ample space for dining and socializing. Bookshelves are located on the port and starboard sides, and opening portlights with curtains provide ventilation and natural light. The headroom in the saloon is 6 foot 3 inches. A fuel tank with a capacity of 45 gallons is located under part of the starboard side settee. Galley The L-shaped galley, situated aft of the saloon to port, features a solid composite stone countertop with mahogany fiddles. It is equipped with a two-burner gas stove and oven, two extra-deep double sinks with covers, and a well-insulated top-opening refrigeration box with a basket and an electric Danfoss compressor cooling unit. The galley offers ample storage, including drawers and a waste bin. Opening portlights over the galley and chart table enhance ventilation and light. Navigation Station Opposite the galley to starboard, the navigation station includes a large chart table with a dedicated seat, navigation instruments, a VHF radio, and an electrical panel. There is additional storage for charts and navigational tools, and tank meters for fuel and fresh water are located at the electric panel. Forward Cabin The forward cabin features a generous double berth with lockers above the berth and ample stowage below. There is a big hanging locker and various other lockers on the starboard side. Ventilation is provided by two opening portlights. The door leads to the saloon. Aft Cabin Located to port aft of the galley, the aft cabin offers a large double berth with lockers above the berth and stowage below. There is also a spacious hanging locker. Ventilation is provided by two opening portlights. The door leads to the galley. Head Compartment The head compartment, located to starboard aft of the saloon, includes a watertight shower stall with teak grating, a manual pump toilet, and a holding tank. The wash basin and countertop are made of PlexiCor composite stone. There is stowage both above and below.  Wet locker.  A large mirror.  Ventilation is ensured by two opening portholes. Engine Access The engine is conveniently located under the companionway stairs, providing easy access for maintenance. This comprehensive layout ensures that the Hallberg-Rassy 342 is well-equipped for extended cruising, offering both comfort and practicality.
