This is a truly unique offering. This Kadey Krogen 48, 'Dyer Need' is hull number 2 and is a rare Kadey Krogen offering twin engines! She has graceful sweeping lines, a prounounced bow, and a rugged profile. You can tell from her looks that 'Dyer Need' is an offshore capable yacht. With a substantial range, the 48 glides through the water and provides a true "at home in any sea" waterfront traveling platform just as her builder advertises. The current owners have enjoyed her for 18 years and are now offering 'Dyer Need' for sale and ready to cruise. She has a popular widebody salon/deck arrangement which merges forward through the galley and below to a spacious two stateroom, two head arrangement layout. On deck, she is topped with a raised pilothouse and flybridge for underway operations and enjoys good outdoor living space forward and aloft. Quiet and comfortable underway and at rest, she is up to the challenge of exploring local and long distance cruising adventures.Accomadations and LayoutREAR COCKPIT AND SWIM PLATFORM:You can board Dyer Need from the aft cockpit door via the fiberglass swim platform (great when arriving by dinghy). Dinghy can be tied up to stainless steel cleats. You can also board from the port and starboard side deck doors at the rear cockpit or through the breaks in the rails amidship on port and starboard sides next to the pilot house. Dyer Need’s swim platform and cockpit also create a convenient hub for in-water sports such as diving or snorkeling. All cap rails, gunnels and lower walking surfaces are teak, and custom covers have been made for all the cap rails to prolong the life of the varnish. From the aft cockpit you can head aft to the swim platform for a dinghy adventure, forward on the starboard side via the side deck which transits past the pilothouse and up to the foredeck where a bench set exists under a protective cover. LAZERETTE: There is a large opening hatch in the cockpit deck for entering the lazarette below. The lazarette houses the steering system, the Glendinning power chord retriever, the hydraulic pump for the hydraulic lift, the HRO water maker and the Isolation transformer along with shelves for cleaning supplies and extra lines and hoses.
