Owner's Description
Amel 2000/Millennium models have multiple performance, comfort, aesthetics, durability, and safety features. Equipment is especially well protected, storage is well thought out and there is exceptional accessibility to systems for repair and maintenance. These boats perform very well in both light and heavy weather and have proven themselves as solid passage-makers. They are easily sailed by shorthanded crew for extended voyages and commonly sailed single-handedly on alternating watches when underway.
Models after 2000 have significantly increased in value over earlier models due to features that were incorporated as the design morphed into the Amel 54. There are many examples of differences but good examples are that these later models have 100hp Yanmar engines vs 75hp Volvos and 12 house series 31 batteries vs 8 house batteries, updated Corean style countertops and 3 vs 2 AC/heating units....the list goes on.
In addition to being a well maintained late mode Super Maramu--hull 429 out of
about 450, KAIMI has many additional major features that increase its
value. These are listed in relative importance--
BattleBorn lithium (12x24V) batteries coupled with Victron solar and charging and
monitoring components. These components are all connected via Bluetooth by
VictronDirect and networked together by Victron VE.Smart Networking. The
charging system has a strong solar component and the AC charging system is
designed for voltages ranging from 85-265v and 45-65Hz. AC and Solar charging
are synchronized through the Victron networking system. 3 redundant Victron
Phoenix Smart IP43 world voltage chargers are used--1 located in engine room and 2
near the battery compartment within the cabin of the boat. This AC and solar
charging system is coupled with a WakeSpeed 500--which is the current state-of-the
art regulator--that controls the robust and powerful 24V 175-amp Leece-Neville
alternator (also and upgrade for 2000 and beyond SMs).
The BattleBorn lithium batteries are regarded as a premium and a recognized entity in
the marine and RV industry and are American constructed and distributed, rated at
more than 5,000 full charge to complete discharge cycles (never typically the case so
much more than that) and warrantied for 10 years with a service expectation likely
greatly exceeds the 10 years. They have an internal Battery Management System
(BMS) in each of the 24v batteries that protects the battery from--High Voltage, Low
Voltage, High Temperature, Low Temperature, High Current Discharge Surges and
Short Current Discharge Surges. Installed using ABYC electrician. New with 9 years
remaining on warranty. The Victron BMV-72 monitor and controller and the
Phoenix Smart chargers along with the Solar MPPTs all have integrated Bluetooth
and all incorporate battery protection as well. The entire system is easily monitored
and controlled using a smartphone or tablet or the wired portion of the BMV-712 as
well. Battery and alternator case temperatures are monitored and controlled as
well. This is essentially a new installation, replication would be in excess of $30k.
New Q-Sail genoa, main and mizzen tri-radial sails made of Hydra Net® radial
fabric with Spectra® webbing and GORE® TENARA® thread top-of-the-line
costing approx $15,000 US. These are specifically designed for the Super Maramu,
description attached and they are top-of-the-line. They were the best sails I could
find. A brochure is attached. Sails also include Amel ballooner inspected and
serviced, mizzen staysail, Gennaker sail with snuffer included (not stock on any
Amel), 110 Hydra Net genoa recently serviced and in very good shape, and spare

by installed by riggers with extensive Amel experience at the Amel center in
Göcek,Turkey. Full rig check by Amel rigging experts Caraibe Greement in Le
