Sails And Rigging
The Valiant 40-42 is among the first performance cruisers. The design actually provides sailing characteristics that do not sacrifice safety and comfort for speed. There is a reason couples choose Valiants. The boat is designed as a true cutter rig which means the sails are smaller and more easily managed. The mainsail is high aspect and the boom is not long, which means it is easy to reef the main. As a cutter, she loves both headsails and when it gets windy you can roll up the jib and continue in comfort with a reefed main and staysail. The Valiant with its true cutter rig is everything an offshore sailing vessel should be. The owners report that she will lie hove to very comfortable in rough weather, always my preference. The Valiant is designed and built to sail across oceans in safety and in comfort. Hull And Deck
There is a reason that serious sailors choose a Valiant. The build quality is among the best there is. From the hand-laid solid glass hull, to the hull deck joint bonding to the cored decks with solid glass reinforced areas where deck hardware is attached. Everything on a Valiant is seriously overbuilt. There is nothing flimsy about her. The solid nature of the boat is evident from the moment you step aboard. The workmanship is incredible as the boat is built in the USA in Texas by a group of highly skilled craftsman who take personal pride in the qualify of the done. Valiant is proud to have sent so many couples to sea in a boat that is built for the sea. If you are looking at a Valiant, you already know that this is the most well designed and safe ocean going vessel that exists for two people to sail the world. You will immediately know this is a superior vessel.
