The Belize 54 Daybridge is a stunning example of timeless yacht design, where classic styling meets modern engineering. It's hard to find a comparable vessel that combines extraordinary build quality with a modern aesthetic that is so pleasing to the eye. Add in her refined luxury, exceptional layout and living spaces, effortless handling, smooth ride and quiet operation, and you have perhaps what many would consider the perfect motor yacht of her size.
We can gush about her good looks and high build quality - but we are also sure you can find many sources online that do the same. This is a highly regarded boat, built by a highly regarded yard and maintained to the nines.
MADRINE is an exceptional example. Her owners are a highly experienced yachting couple who have owned and operated vessels up to 75 feet, both power and sail, and cruised them extensively. They are exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced, and, dare I say, picky. All their boats have been built by some of the best builders in the world, and MADRINE is no exception. They were very discriminating buyers and once they found the BELIZE, they were convinced they had found the right blend of design and construction.
And, like every boat owner should, but many do not, these owners lavished her with the best care at the best yards. They recognized that the best maintenance occurs before it is needed, and they also insisted on keeping her in tip top shape - both mechanically and cosmetically. When you see the boat, you will understand why we point this out.
So, we have the holy grail triplet for boat shoppers - a boat which has an exceptional design, exceptional build quality and exceptional maintenance.
The design is not just about her good looks, which are not quite like anything else on the market and which will be pleasant forever. The intelligence of her design is also evident in the way she moves through the water, the way she "lives" both underway and when not moving, and in her systems - both the choice of quality components and the sensible system layout and proper installation of all gear. Add in the additional benefit of low exterior maintenance and the choice makes even more sense.
If you have not been aboard a BELIZE 54, we encourage you to come see for your self just how pampered you will be. The accommodations are more impressive - in the cabin layout, the cockpit layout and the flybridge layout. Storage seems endless - and who hasn't coveted a dinghy garage?
If you are a discerning buyer and boater - one who values impeccable craftsmanship, graceful aesthetics, extreme comfort and exceptional capability, we invite you to take a close look at MADRINE. She is conveniently located in Stonington, CT and easy to board for showings. Please call for more information or to make an appointment for your personal inspection.

MAIN SALON:
The door to the main salon is an impressive bowed glass and stainless steel slider, custom crafted for the Belize 54. Its heft and ease of use provide a tactile demonstration of the quality of construction of the entire vessel. To port of the sliding door is an outward opening hinged glass and stainless steel panel that hinges up to the cockpit overhead, further opening the salon and galley up to the cockpit.
Upon entering the main salon, you are immediately struck by the spacious, light-filled area with high-end finishes throughout. The salon is finished with quarter-sawn American walnut, creating a warm, luxurious environment with a satin varnish that provides an unusual but warm and welcoming environment on the water. The large windows offer panoramic views and bring in abundant natural light, with port and starboard blinds for privacy when needed.
The cabin sole is a teak finished with a semi-rough hewn surface for anti-slip. The three staterooms have a plush wall-to-wall carpet surface.
The main salon seating consists of a large, L-shaped lounge to starboard with ultra-leather upholstery. There is a large teak table with two folding leaves mounted on a stainless steel high-low pedestal to convert from "cocktail" use to dining use. Two ottomons, upholstered to match the settee, act as additional table seating, with storage inside them.
Aft is a cabinet with the main television on an electric lift. When not in use, it is inconspicuously hidden inside a lovely cabinet. The sound system and television are heard through the Bose surround-sound speakers integrated into the headliner, offering an immersive audio experience.
The galley is larger and better equipped than most small NYC apartments! It runs the length of the port side of the salon, and features the following:
The lower helm is forward of the salon. The helm seat, electrically controlled and upholstered to match the salon upholstery, is by Treben. The helm seat and steering wheel are on the centerline. Looking forward, one has excellent visibility through the three large windshield panels. At semi-circular opening hatch, framed in stainless steel, is above the helm and has an Oceanair shade/screen.
Outboard of the helm seat is an upholstered double companion seat. All the way to starboard and forward of the companion seat is an aft-facing upholstered seat. Outboard of these seats is a sliding opening window, with a matching window to port. Below the port window, which is just forward of the galley, is a set of drawers and a large cabinet.
A teak staircase with stainless steel handrails leads to the staterooms and heads. There is a central hallway which is wide and bright, especially when the doors to the starboard stateroom and the port guest head are open. Access to the top off the water tank and the freshwater distribution manifold is via hinged access panels in the hallway sole. A Miele Combination washer/dryer is hidden behind a retractable panel in the hallway.
PRIMARY STATEROOM:
Once down the stairs, one turn aft to enter the Primary stateroom. This is a full width en-suite stateroom, in the most stable and quiet portion of the interior.A colleague who toured the boat described it as a "luxurious and serene retreat". The stateroom features a queen-sized, centerline walk-around bed with an 8” innerspring mattress, with built-in bedside tables, each with drawers. The two large cedar-lined wardrobes offer ample storage for clothes, while drawers are provided under the baed, in a large built in bureau to port, and a second built in chest. There is also a dressing table with mirror, two drawers and an articulating stool. Two LED reading lamps, LED ceiling lights and and under-bed LED lighting provide both functional and ambient lighting for the room. The flooring is plush carpeting with a premium underlay, adding to the comfort of the space.
A recessed Insignia is TV is there when you want it and doesn't intrude when you don't. There are controls for both the air-conditioning and the heating systems in this cabin.
A major highlight is the two large portlights, each with integrated opening portholes (blinds provided), offering both natural light and fresh air,
The en-suite owner's head is to starboard. There is a spacious walk-in shower with a frameless glass door, teak flooring, and a Grohe shower faucet set. The space is fitted with marble countertops and an above-counter Kohler wash basin with Paini Faucet. There is also a heated towel rail rack, and a Tecma Silence electric toilet. An opening porthole in the head offers ventilation, and the room also includes overhead storage and a mirror for convenience.
GUEST (VIP) STATEROOM FORWARD:
Moving forward, the VIP stateroom offers a similar level of comfort and style, with a double island bed featuring an 8” innerspring mattress. The bed is framed by custom bed surrounds and a wood and leather finishes. Storage includes two cedar-lined wardrobes with internal LED lighting, under-bed drawers, and additional space beneath the berth.
Two fixed oval portlights with manual blinds provide natural light, and an overhead circular stainless framed hatch, with black out shades and a bug screen. A small vanity with an articulating stool and a bulkhead mounted Insignia television are here for your guest's convenience. This cabin also has its own controls for the air conditioning and heating systems, and the same carpeting as found in all the staterooms. Finally, a private entrance to the guest head allows you to give your guests the utmost privacy.
GUEST STATEROOM STARBOARD:
The starboard stateroom is another well-appointed guest cabin, featuring bunk beds of ample size and the flexibility to host guests who may not want to share a berth (but don't mind sharing a cabin). The upper bunk is especially ample in size. Storage includes a cedar-lined hanging locker and drawers both under the lower berth and in the nightstand.
The stateroom has LED reading lights, LED ceiling lights and under-bed LED lighting, and an opening hull porthole. Finishes are of the same standard as the other two staterooms. The guest head is just across the hall.
GUEST HEAD:
The guest head (which doubles as the day head) is to port in the hallway. conveniently located near the guest staterooms, and is directly accessible from the forward VIP stateroom or the hallway door. The head features a Tecma Silence electric toilet, a marble vanity, and raised Kohler wash basin and a Paini faucet . A walk-in shower with a Grohe shower set, frameless glass doors, and teak flooring is a standout feature. The room is also equipped with an opening porthole, and a privacy lock on the door. There is generous storage available, a mirror, and a towel rack. There is an opening hull port, and a circular overhead hatch with ocean air screen and shade.
The cockpit on MADRINE is clearly a social area - more sho than on many boats due to the way she opens up to the interior. One will often get onto the boat at the swim platform, which iis an ideal platform for - yes - swimming - and just being close to the water. The center portion of the swim platform can be lowered into the water - which is needed for moving the tender into and out of the garage. But it also creates a neat way to sit on the platform but in the water.
Access up to the cockpit can be via port or starboard stairs, with stainless gate style doors at each entrance. Between the doors, all the way aft in the cockpit, is a built in bench seat. A large dining table on a stainless steel high/low pedestal is just forward of the seating. There are to teak deck chairs which are used at the other side of the table.
A small breakfast, lunch or cocktail bar is in the forward port corner cockpit, adjacent to the galley. When the hinged window is opened between the cockpit and galley, this bar is open to the galley. There are two articulating stools, a trash receptical with top loading, and an ice maker under the counter. A Vitrofrigo drawer refrigerator is opposite the bar under the satir to the flybridge.
