Why does the Monk 36 trawler remain in high demand in today's market? The answer is simple as the designer, engineers, and builder in Nova Scotia, Canada all created a truly amazing, functional seaworthy craft all within 36 feet!
Her current owner (third owner of this vessel) is a life-long yachtsman who has owned a number of vessels, and he has taken great care of her. "Mary Alyce" is hull #218, and is solid example of these fine craft, having had a number of recent upgrades.
She is powered by the legendary Cummins 6BT 5.9M engine producing 220 HP, and has just over 2,500 hours on her. A comfortable cruising speed of 8 knots means that her fuel consumption is quite low at 2.5GPH, so she is economical to run.
