Originally built as a commercial fishing vessel in 1971 by the Sermons Boat Yard of Tarpon Springs, Florida, M/V Restless T was rebuilt as a luxury expedition yacht in 1985 including installation of a new Cummins 270hp engine. The Sermons Boat Yard built more than 70 commercial vessels, many still in use today. The current owners purchased this vessel in 2015 and have cruised her along the Eastern Seaboard, Gulf, and lower Great Loop and have kept her in excellent condition, including upgrades and improvements in 2023 at her last haulout at the Metal Shark Boat Yard in Bayou La Batre, LA.. Beautiful interior, 6 watertight compartments, LED lighting, hickory cabinetry on main level, teak cabinetry on lower level, and maple and mahogany soles throughout. All systems are designed for ease of maintenance, redundancies, and convenient and easy repair. All systems are in ready-to-cruise anywhere condition.
The owner is a master commercial mariner who has used his many decades-long knowledge and experience in keeping M/V Restless T in professional condition. She is owned, cruised, and lovingly cared for by the type of owners from whom you want to buy!

Boarding is from port and starboard gates amidships or from transom gate above swim platform to aft deck or from port and starboard doors for wheelhouse entry. Entry from the aft deck leads through double French doors to a small foyer with the well organized and functional galley on the starboard side. Plenty of cabinets and stowage to port. Forward is the bright and roomy salon. Stairs from the galley lead to the lower deck. The guest stateroom with ensuite head is forward, bunk cabin with head is on the starboard side, laundry center and guest head portside, and master stateroom with ensuite head is aft. Ascending stairs from the galley lead to the wheelhouse. Expansive exterior decks on upper level and large covered area aft on main deck. Engine room access from the aft deck is through watertight door starboardside. Three cabins and four heads provide for comfortable cruising for family and guests. Headroom is 6'6" throughout. Entry to the galley is from the aft deck which makes for convenient provision stowing. Entry doors from port and starboard side decks. Good fresh air cross ventilation. Forward and to starboard is a day head. Centerline island bar with chairs for buffet service or dining. Full size residential appliances are starboardside and aft.
The salon is forward with large near-panoramic view windows. A leatherette settee, convertible sleeper, is to starboard.
Entry to the pilothouse is via centerline stairs from the galley or from port and starboard weathertight exterior doors. The full width helm station has in-console electronics at the helm and above. Upholstered settee/pilot berth is aft. Professional helm seat. Large viewing windows for excellent 360 degree visibility. Excellent fresh air ventilation with 3 opening windows and 2 doors.
Access to the lower deck and staterooms is from the stairs forward of the galley. Forward and to starboard is the guest cabin. Forward is the guest stateroom with ensuite head. Master stateroom is aft.
The companionway houses a full guest head to port and a laundry center.
The guest cabin is amidships and to starboard.
The guest stateroom is forward and is accessed via watertight door. This watertight compartment, one of 6, can be used as a safe room in emergency conditions. A ladder accessed from the bed leads to the hatch for egress to the foredeck. Portside aft is an ensuite head with a toilet, sink, and vanity.
The master stateroom is aft with ensuite head. Comfortable and roomy with good stowage.
The engine room is accessed from the aft deck through a watertight door. The well-lit and well-ventilated engine room offers easy convenience for access to servicing all equipment. A lazarette is aft of the engine room accessed through a watertight door with egress to the covered aft deck. The Cummins engine was installed new in 1985. Keel cooled with dry exhaust.
The electrical system is comprised of 12volt and 24volt DC systems and 120/240 VAC.
M/V Restless T is a full displacement all welded A36 steel expedition yacht with hard chines, round stern, bilge keels, and full skeg. The stem/keel measures 1/2", the skeg shoe at 3/4" and all other plates are 1/4". The deck beams and framing are 4" x 3" x 1/4" on 18" centers. There are 5 watertight bulkheads with (2) watertight doors and 2 weathertight doors. Windows are 1/2" plate glass. Bronze portlights are 12" with 4 dogs.
Tanks consist of fuel, water, black water, gray water, hydraulic oil, and lube oil.
Full walk around side decks. The foredeck is accessed from the side decks or from a centerline ladder forward of the wheelhouse. Dock boxes for stowage at each deck.
The large aft deck is covered and provides shaded area for outdoor activities.
Upper deck houses the aluminum signal mast and offers large areas for water toys.
M/V Restless T has been maintained and upgraded since 2015 including extensive refit at Metal Shark Boats in Bayou La Batre, LA. She had services performed as listed below and was launched in January 2023 after which time the owners continued cruising until arriving at her new home dock in La Belle, FL.
