Salvation is the "A" interior layout that features a combination two place dinette and a separate forward-facing nav station and a truly spectacular large galley. The boat is a one-owner boat. The Gozzard 37 was the first redesigns of the extremely successful classic Gozzard 36.
Details like the satin varnished interior cherry joinery and beautiful hull lines help set this yacht apart from the average production boat. The unique transom looks traditional but folds down, revealing a walkthru with steps and a stainless steel boarding ladder that makes dinghy access simple.
She easily handles all kinds of weather conditions.
The brightwork was just recently wooded down to bare teak and is ready to be refinished by her new owners. The deck was professionally polished and detailed. All deck hatches have been removed and resealed including a new replacement foredeck hatch. The vent hatches have also had their lens’ sealed. The butterfly was stripped and refinished in Awlwood MA gloss with a new lens. The hull is Flag blue Awlgrip and is in very nice condition with no scars or bumper rash. The bottom paint is fully intact with no flaking.
The interior has rubbed effect varnish cherry joinery which has been cleaned and detailed with a few cosmetic repairs done by the factory wood-working team and is now in good condition. The Galley counters have been cleaned and polished. All doors and drawers have been adjusted and all cabinet hinges have been replaced with new ones. The solid core teak and holly floor has been cleaned and detailed.
The boat’s systems have been fully tested and reviewed with all issues documented. Where necessary, critical equipment repairs have been made including a new engine thru-hull suggesting her systems should easily pass a marine survey. The black water system has been completely renewed with premium sanitation hoses and a new toilet. But perhaps the best feature of this boat is the fact she is located at the factory were any additional work repairs or modifications can be completed at the highest level. Currently fully winterized and shrink wrapped.

The Gozzard 37 interior layout has become legendary for the beautiful North American cherry with a satin finish and an absolutely innovative design. The cabin sole is solid teak with basswood inserts (not a thin ply veneer) and finished with a high gloss urethane varnish. Salvation has many custom features beyond the stained glass additions shown in the photos.
The forward cabin/saloon easily converts to a large centerline queen-size berth. Behind the settee, backs are storage for the large dining table on the starboard side and wine storage on the port side. There is a flatscreen TV that folds down in a custom cabinet all the way forward. The midship bulkhead has a slide-up panel and a double-hinged door to the port that can be closed to convert the forward salon into a private stateroom. There is a flow inlaid coffee table that converts to become the base for the dining tabletop.
Next aft to port is the forward-facing navigation station
Aft of the navigation station is the refrigeration/freezer cabinet.
On the starboard side is the dinette followed by the L-shaped galley.
Aft on the port side is the head. There is a separate shower with a folding door and teak grate on the floor and a manual head.
The aft cabin has a king-size berth, locker and drawers, and a hanging locker.

The hull is constructed with knitted double bias E-glass RM (0-90) and XM (45-45) cloth and cored with 1/2" SPS Corecell foam using both vacuum bagging and hand-laid techniques. The core is eliminated and replaced with solid glass laminate in high load areas including the sheer line, centerline, keel, rudder post, and thru-hulls. External lead ballast is joined to the entire length of the keel bottom.
The decks were designed for ease of use. They feature wide low-cambered side decks and bulwarks for sure footing in heeling conditions. The deck mold is FRP sandwich construction with 1/2" and 3/4" SPS Corecell with extra solid fiberglass laminate in high load areas.
The hull deck joint is bedded in 3M 5200 and bolted on 6" centers with 5/16" machine bolts with aircraft-type nuts.
There are full-length FRP rub rails installed approximately 18" below the cap rail.
The rudder shaft is 1 1/2" diameter 316 stainless steel. The rudder is constructed with a stainless web that is welded to the shaft. It is heavily glassed to one of the two 1/4" fiberglass skin halves. The foils are then cored and assembled together. The cosmetic joint between the two skins is glassed over and faired. To prevent water intrusion 3M 5200 is used where the rudder shaft exits the rudder. The entire rudder was coated with Interprotect 3000 barrier coat. An emergency tiller is stored in a custom cutout under one of the cockpit locker lids.
The skeg is built much like the rudder except considerably heavier. A stainless steel bolt spider is permanently bolted with epoxy to the hull.
All main or structural bulkheads are constructed with cored fiberglass laminates that are strong and rot-resistant. The main bulkhead has a cherry veneer face. The bulkheads are initially glassed to the hull and subsequently to the deck. The interior has a closed-grid structure that combines stringers and floor assemblies. Whenever possible, all wooden structures are glassed to the hull or deck to minimize unsupported panel size.
