Starting aft, a molded-in fiberglass swim platform with under mount boarding ladder provides easy boarding. Access to the crew's head, shower, stateroom, and engine room is through a watertight door, and a freshwater handheld shower is housed inside a cabinet for quick rinse-off.
Curved steps on both port and starboard sides ascend to the covered aft deck. The aft deck features built-in bench seating with an oblong varnished wood table which will accommodate six comfortably for dining. The day head for the main deck is forward on the aft deck and the starboard side. Two docking stations are built into the pilasters forward on the port and starboard sides on the aft deck, and covered walk-around side decks lead to a Portuguese bridge just forward of the pilothouse.
A door through the Portuguese bridge leads onto the fiberglass foredeck for access to built-in bench seating, windlass, and ground tackle.
A gently inclining exterior staircase leads up from the aft deck to the boat deck, which is aft on the flybridge deck, and a sliding door can cover the steps.
The main salon is beautifully appointed and fits in handcrafted raised panel Makore (African cherry) wood and satin finished; a stairway immediately to port leads down to the crew quarters and provides interior access to these accommodations and the engine room.
This companionway may be closed off with a hatch and door to privatize. Forward on the port side is a TV/entertainment cabinet housing a retractable 49" LED HDTV, with a chair positioned on either side of this cabinet. An "L" shaped sofa with storage under is across the starboard side with a hi-lo coffee/dining table in front of the sofa. The salon is carpeted, the window blinds are by Hunter Douglas, and the overhead lighting and indirect lighting are LED.
Forward the salon and up two steps is the spacious and well-equipped galley to starboard. The gallery is open to the pilothouse and has a counter and barstools for 3 to enable entertaining the chef while they are prepping meals.
A stairway across to the port provides easy interior access to the Flybridge, and a dinette that seats four (4) is forward of this.
The pilothouse and interior helm station are all the way forward on the yacht's centerline, and side doors to port and starboard sides lead out to side decks.
A stairway leads forward and down from the pilothouse to the owner/guest's accommodation deck. The Master's Stateroom is all the way aft on this deck and features loads of hanging locker and drawer storage space for clothing. The head is en-suite and features his and hers sinks and a large shower.
Forward the master's stateroom and into the companionway are the washer and dryer inside a cabinet with fold-away doors. Forward, the 2nd guest's stateroom with twin berths is to port, and a shared guest's head with shower is across to the starboard side. The VIP Guest stateroom is all the way forward with a queen-size berth on the centerline and private access to the guest's head.
Up from the pilothouse is the Flying Bridge. The helm station is on the centerline, and a large dinette with an "L" shaped settee is aft of this on the starboard side.
A fiberglass hardtop with Webasto sunroof overhead and an immense boat deck with tender davit is aft the covered flybridge.
The salon has a spread-out design giving an open and airy feel that is enhanced by the huge frameless windows and the 7’1” overhead. The room features one main L-shaped settee as well as several club chairs and cherry-wood coffee and lamp tables. This area is as big as to be found on most 85-footers.
The windows along the port and starboard sides are large and outfitted with custom shades for privacy. A wine cooler is built into the portside cherry cabinet just adjacent to the stairs to the galley.
Forward to port is a cabinet dedicated to the entertainment system, which features Samsung LED HDTV, as well as a Bose surround-sound system.
It is an open design, which means it flows from the pilothouse helm station back to the aft deck access door, with no obstruction in sight or space in between.
The galley features marble countertops with matching decks that can be heated. The galley's U-shape has three separate counter surfaces, with the cherry wood design carrying heavily into this space. The overhead lights in the galley can be operated with a dimmer for desired intensity to maintain the night vision of the captain just ahead.
The pilothouse sits largely apart from the rest of the salon, though there is formally no “separation” in the design.
The helm has two Pompanette Platinum series captain’s chairs with stainless steel adjustable pedestals and adjustable armrests. The wheel is assisted by hydraulic power steering and is identical in design to the wheel on the Flybridge helm. The main helm dash console is bigger than its Flybridge counterpart, with some additional design flare. The console has three touchscreens, Garmin displays and panels for the main engine displays, VHF radio, autopilot, and smaller gauges.
Access to the lower deck
Accessed via companionway to the starboard side of the helm station, the lower deck features three staterooms, two heads, a washer and dryer in the lower deck foyer, and storage both in the staterooms and the common area/foyer.
Foyer
Master Stateroom
The master stateroom is a full-beam space with a king-sized berth with storage underneath. The aesthetic design carries through to the lower deck cabins also, with the cherry wood finish and classic cabinet-front designs.
The master stateroom features a mirrored surface over the berth, a LED HDTV on the forward bulkhead, dimmers for the overhead LED lighting, a stereo system, individual climate controls, and a settee on both the port and starboard.
Master Head
The master stateroom has an en-suite head with a cherry vanity with storage under an under-counter sink. The sink has a Grohe single-lever faucet and the surrounding countertop. A large shower stall lined with Corian features a “shower tower” instead of a conventional shower head, making room for the massage jets. The en-suite head also has stainless steel opening portlights and a Tecma toilet.
VIP Stateroom
The VIP stateroom sits in the bow, and the stateroom has an island berth, with storage drawers underneath and reading lights in the headboard.
The space has wraparound storage cabinets and a cedar-lined hanging storage locker. Creature comforts in the form of a 26” HDTV, DVD/ CD stereo system, and climate controls over the heat or air conditioning.
The overhead LED lights can be operated with a dimmer for desired intensity, and the stainless steel portlights can open and feature screens. The VIP stateroom also has an opening skylight with an ocean-air screen.
Guest Head and Shower
The VIP stateroom and third guestroom share the head, which the third guestroom access from across the foyer.
Third Stateroom
The crew quarters or 4th Stateroom on “Sunny SeaJay” features a common area with a refrigerator, Corian countertop, sink and faucet, and storage cabinets above and below. The crew head has a vanity and a separate shower stall.
The bunk has an over/under berth design, two stainless steel opening portlights, and storage drawers below the berth. With the crew area having separate access at the aft section of the salon, and with this living space having the same fit and finish as the rest of the yacht, it also lends itself to guest quarters when an owner doesn’t need a hired crew.
The flybridge is covered by a hardtop with a non-glare texture and LED lights. It also has a fold-down cabinet to port that holds a 32” HDTV.
The flybridge has a dining space, entertainment refreshment center, and helm station. The entertainment center -- which is nearly a mini-galley unto itself is located at the aft end of the flybridge. A Corian countertop with a faucet and sink, a refrigerator and icemaker below, and a propane grill to the starboard side. Storage cabinets can be found underneath. Propane is stored in a separate cabinet just adjacent to the grill.
The dining space is attached to the starboard side, which features an L-shaped settee wrapped around a table.
Boat Deck
The engine room can be accessed via the crew quarters and has standing headroom. The copper water lines are color-coded, as are the hydraulic lines. LED lighting throughout, and the bulkheads are insulated with extra sound insulation. The floors have rubber, non-skid treads.
The engine mounts, rudders and rudder posts, and safety grab rails around the engines are all stainless steel.
