The Sylvan Seas has just arrived back in Florida. She has proved to be a Very Reliable vessel while cruising in the Bahamas for the past two years. The owner has done many upgrades. A Side Power bow thruster has been installed as well as a Clear Line system to keep the air conditioning water lines clear of marine growth. All Galley Maid saltwater heads were removed and replace with Raritan Atlantes heads with freshwater flush. Heads also have a sanitation treatment system. New Garmin chart plotters with Garmin radar installed, as well as a Garmin Smart Pump auto pilot system. The Main Salon has new leather furniture. The aft deck has a Brand-new Scotsman clear ice machine, and new isinglass for the aft deck as well. There is a new Stamoid bimini top. Stabilizer seals were replaced on the last haul out. The water maker membranes were also recently replaced. The power cords and air conditioning sea water pump are new. Also, a new garbage disposer. She has beautiful high luster Imron paint which shines like new. Teak handrail brightwork has just been done as well.

One of the great features of the 63 Hatteras is the lower helm station. The visibility from this area is great and enables the captain to operate the boat in close quarters or foul weather with ease. Opening the port and starboard wing doors enables visibility while docking. The salon side windows are large and do open for ventilation. The aft Salon window is also quite large to see astern. The helm area itself features a new Garmin 8612 chart plotter with radar, New Garmin Smart pump auto pilot, a control for a new Side Power bow thruster, Naiad stabilizer controls, updated engine and ship alarm system, Icom 100 vhf radio, ACR spotlight control, KVH sat antenna controller, full set of engine and generator gauges, and a 6’’ Danforth compass with stainless steel enclosure. There is a tan leather bench seat for the captain, it has storage below. Pilot house has the vinyl teak and holly flooring. The main Salon feels very open and spacious with its large windows. There are large wood slotted blinds for privacy. The Salon has a new leather couch with Ottoman and three new leather barrel chairs. Carpeting is Tan. There is a 50-inch Samsung TV mounted to the forward wall of the Salon.
The Sylvan Seas has a U-shaped galley which is large enough to do some serious cooking. All her galley cabinets have been done in white to make her lighter and brighter, hardware has been replaced with new. There are windows port and starboard in the galley which also open for ventilation and let in lots of natural light. The appliances have all been updated with new appliances. She has a Fisher Paykel refrigerator with water in the door. There is a new GE microwave, Maytag trash compactor, and it features a full-size wall oven under the cooktop. The cooktop is a five-burner recessed counter unit. The counters in the galley are Corian. To starboard is a nice dinette which will accommodate four people. The dinette has a Corian table and tan leather bench seating. All the windows in the galley have large slotted white blinds and the flooring is a Vinyl teak and holly. There is AC and DC overhead lighting.
Aft of the Engine rooms is the Full beam master stateroom. The master is separated from the guest stateroom by the engine room which gives the master some added privacy. It has a full Queen bed and lots of storage via drawers below both sides of the bed. There are nightstands and reading lights on both sides of the bed. Also, two hanging closets, one on the forward wall and one to port forward. To port and aft is a counter with storage drawers beneath. The starboard side also has a counter with storage drawers and a custom-made teak make up table. This can also be used for a desk and office area. There are port holes on both sides of the stateroom and a larger window on the aft wall of the stateroom. The aft window does slide open for ventilation and available for an escape hatch as well, the port holes also open for a nice cross breeze. There are pleated black out shades which can be lowered for complete privacy. A Samsung 32” TV is mounted to the port wall. Flooring in the master is tan carpeting. Forward to starboard is the ensuite Master bathroom. This bathroom features a full bathtub with shower. It has sliding glass shower doors. The head has been replaced with a Raritan Atlantes freshwater flush head with a Galley Maid waste treatment system. Counter tops are a white mica with a flush mounted decorative stainless-steel sink. There is lots of storage behind the mirrored medicine cabinets and below the sink.
A hallway leading aft from the galley leads you to the guest and master staterooms. Along the way to port is the washer/dryer and linen closet. Further to port is the guest head. The guest head is quite large with a nice size walk in shower. The bathroom features a new Raritan Atlantes freshwater flush head connected to a Galley Maid waste treatment system. There is a flush mounted stainless steel decorative sink and all new cabinet hardware. There are three mirrored medicine cabinets and storage below the sink. Flooring in the head is a durable vinyl teak and holly floor. The mid stateroom has side by side beds with a nightstand between them and reading lights for each bed. There is drawer storage beneath the beds and storage overhead forward in the stateroom. There is also a hanging locker. The stateroom has its own independent air conditioning. There are two port holes which open for light or air circulation. There is a pleated shade for privacy.
Forward of the galley is the V berth stateroom with its ensuite bathroom. To starboard is a large hanging close with shelves and a hanging rod. The bunks are over and under style with storage drawers below. There are also more storage drawers to port. On the forward wall are two access doors to the anchor closet. A large overhead hatch opens providing ventilation, natural lighting, and a large escape hatch. There are also openable portholes on the starboard hull side. The bathroom is to port and has a new Raritan Atlantes head with freshwater flush and a waste treatment system. The counters are white mica with a flush mounted stainless steel decorative sink. All the cabinet hardware has been updated. The flooring in this area is vinyl teak and holly.
The flybridge is a very spacious area with a great layout for entertaining or cruising. It has three helm chairs forward so the captain can sit with a Navigator and a guest. Aft of the helm chairs is a bar cabinet and multi-level Corian countertop. Below the counter is space for a refrigerator and icemaker. On the aft side of the bar are two mounted round bar stools. To port is a built-in propane grill with gas storage beneath. Forward of the grill is a nice sink and faucet with storage area below. All the way to starboard aft is an L shaped seating area which will easily accommodate 7 people. It has a triangular Corian table in front of it. To port and aft is a bench style seat which will accommodate three people. Aft of the seating area is a Marquipt Davit with power rotation, power boom, and power cable. It lifts the 14-foot Novarania with a Yamaha 50 hp four stroke engine which is a 2003 model. There is also a Revere life raft mounted outboard to port. The flybridge currently has a new Stamoid bimini top forward of the radar arch. There is a stainless-steel support structure for an aft bimini top of one is desired. At the upper helm there is a new Garmin 8612 Chart plotter with Radar, New Garmin Smart Pump autopilot, Side Power bow thruster control for the New bow thruster, Icom M324 vhf radio, ACR spotlight control, Engine gauges, Vessel and engine monitoring panel, Naiad Stabilizer controls, and trim tab controls.
The huge full beam aft deck area is a great place for entertaining. The aft deck has hard sides with windows which slide open and wing doors leading to the side decks. The isinglass at the stern is new and rolls up making the area completly open with lots of ventilation. There is a wet bar and sink with a Corian countertop which also has storage below. There is also a Brand-new Scotsman clear ice machine. All the aft deck cabinetry has been refinished in white. The flooring has carpet with a water border around it to help keep it dry. There is an outdoor couch for 3 and a New Varnished Hi/Low table which has a fold out top to double its size. A stair to port leads down to the spacious cockpit area. The cockpit is a great feature to have on a motor yacht. It makes docking and handling lines and fenders much easier. It is also a great spot to fish and launch your water toys. There is a transom door which swings fully open that leads to the swim platform. The swim platform has four recessed cleats to tie your toys to. A large outdoor storage chest holds extra lines, fender, and accessories.
The two large stand-up engine rooms are separated by a hallway and offer easy access to all equipment. The Detroit Diesel 1271 engines have remote mechanical gauge clusters in each engine room to give you accurate readings of all the engine functions. There are dual Racor fuel filter systems with the high-end vacuum gages atop each filtration unit. There is a gear driven pump and manifold oil change system to evacuate and fill oil to all units when doing your oil changes. The control box for the Clearline air conditioning water system is also located in the engine room. There is a 120-volt freshwater pump and a 32-volt freshwater pump. The Charles 32-volt battery charger is in the port engine room. There is a UV water purification module to sanitize the tank coming out of the ships water tanks.Both engines have new silicone hoses. The starboard engine has a belt driven emergency bilge pump which can be activated to remove water if needed. The metal water/exhaust collection tubes below the exhaust risers have been replaced with fiberglass collectors. There is a Pura water filter which filters water supplied from the water tank and dock water system. Both engine rooms have custom overhead storage cabinets over the engines. They utilize dead space for storage of spare filters etc. There are overhead 120-volt fluorescent lights and 32-volt DC lighting.
Generator room has two Onan MDL4 20 kw generators, forward showing 4833 hours aft showing 1652 hours. There is an overboard waste pump for offshore waste disposal. This area also houses the Sea Recovery water maker, along with its membranes, boost and hi pressure pump, and manifolds. Other equipment in the generator room is the Lamarche battery charger, five ac units, isolation transformers, bow thruster batteries, large racors for the generators and a fire suppression system. There are also many miscellaneous spare parts.
The forward deck has a Gally Maid windlass with all chain and a large Danforth anchor. There is a Marquipt eight step tide ladder, and two fender holders mounted to the stainless stanchions. All handrails have been recently varnished. There is a bench seat with cushions and storage below and the cabin trunk has full cushions with a cover. The power cords attach to either side of the vessel mid ship. The cords are new. Lower and upper decks are all very solid and in excellant shape
