Traveller II is an Ocean Series trawler designed by Bray Yacht Design and Research and built by Rodriguez Shipbuilders in Alabama. The yacht was designed and built to be an open water, long range cruising trawler so a cruising couple could get aboard and cruise to their dream destination without the fear of do we have enough boat for the task ahead.
The designers were smart in planning how to get around this trawler with the low transom access and large transom door, the wide side decks that make it easy to get around the vessel, a large cockpit "approximately 13' long x 18' wide that's perfect for the fishing person, the adventure person or dining alfresco on a warm summer evening. The trawlers interior is a very tasteful satin teak and space utilization is excellent. The owners suite is very comfortable and well appointed and the guests have private access to their own heads, there is also a day head in the pilothouse. The pilothouse and flybridge helm areas are also very accommodating for owners and guests.
This is a great offshore cruising vessel, designed to offer comfortable accommodations, long range cruising capabilities and has been caringly maintained by knowledgeable yacht folks.

Ocean Series 76
This steel PassageMaker is a serious long distance cruisers. The heavy scantlings and tough material is ideal for a vessel that may take some tough knocks over a long lifetime of travel.
This vessel structure exceeds ABS Rules for Unrestricted Offshore use and has both a collision bulkhead and watertight bulkheads. The bulbous bow and speed nozzle all contribute to make this vessel more fuel efficient than most vessels as well as giving a very stable ride.
The spacious interior has walk around decks with a large cockpit. The engine room has full standing headroom and is located aft. There are two large refrigerated fish holds for the serious fisherman. The Owner's stateroom is full width and has it's own spacious bathroom with separate shower. Amidship are the guess staterooms with crew accommodation forward. At the foot of the stairs are the washer and dryer. On the main deck is a separate pilothouse with large settee, day head, large galley, dinette, and main salon. The flybridge has lots of storage area and room for a big tender.

The Ocean Series 76 main salon is accessed via a Dutch style door from the large cockpit. The salon is a combination of light-colored fabrics and teak cabinetry in a satin finish with large windows that bring in abundant natural light. There is a large aft portside sofa, to starboard is the formal dining area with a forward starboard galley and entertainment center to port. Teak & holly floors and handcrafted teak cabinetry finish the space, giving it a warm and inviting feel.

The midships owner’s suite offers a walk-around queen bed, beautiful teak cabinetry, abundant drawer and hanging locker storage, vanity with fireplace, and an ensuite head.
Owner’s suite head
The owner’s suite head is located on the starboard side of the stateroom and offers teak & holly flooring, Royal Flush toilet, beautiful teak vanity, abundant cabinet storage and a large stall shower.
Foyer
The foyer is accessed from the port side of the pilothouse, providing access to the owners and guest staterooms, and the yacht’s laundry.
Forward stateroom/Crew
The forward stateroom offers a large V-berth with filler, port and starboard storage shelving, Sony TV, hanging locker and a skylight.
Starboard guest head
The head serves both the forward and starboard guest staterooms, and offers ensuite access from the stbd guest stateroom. Features include a teak vanity, Royal Flush toilet, drawer and cabinet storage, lighted vanity mirror, portlight with screen and a stall shower.
Starboard stateroom
The starboard guest stateroom features include ensuite access to the starboard guest head, stacked single beds with custom mattresses, drawer and cabinet storage, opening portlight and a hanging locker.
Port stateroom
The port guest stateroom features an ensuite head, stacked single beds with custom mattresses, drawer and cabinet storage, opening portlight and a hanging locker.

The galley is truly a chefs delight, offering plenty of food preparation space , top quality cooking and food storage equipment, solid surface countertops, serving bar, and as found in the rest of the yacht, plenty of storage capacity.
Pilothouse
The pilothouse is accessed via the main salon, port & starboard side deck doors and from the flybridge to pilothouse stairs. The pilothouse offers a centered helm station with captain’s chair, inverted style forward windows which are great for not only sun-glare reduction but also more importantly, lessons water impact in rough seas. Other features include a large passenger cruising settee and an off-watch berth, teak & holly flooring and an abundant of storage space for bulk items and documents with storage under the passenger settee, bookrack shelving storage and storage under the pilothouse helm console. The helmsman has very good visibility over the bow from the helm station.

The Flybridge helm area offers a central helm station, 2X captains chairs and a large passenger L-shaped cruising settee. There is abundant storage under the helm console, a large starboard side cabinet that storges the yachts life jackets and survival suits and a large storage cabinet on the bridge deck.

Bridge deck
The bridge deck is just a few steps down from the bridge helm area and housed the yachts mast with Crow’s Nest, a large starboard side storage cabinet, a port side forward 4-person hot tub, a 16’ Smoker Craft aluminum boat with 60HP Honda, Steelhead 2000lb. power rotation davit, Guardian canister liferaft, Tender fuel tank, and a starboard aft helm station.

Foredeck
The foredeck is easily accessed from the pilothouse with the port & starboard PH side deck doors or form the aft cockpit thanks to the wide side decks that make moving around the yacht pretty easy. As with the rest of the yacht’s decks, these are a painted non-skid (the yacht was repainted in 2018) and are fairly flat, making moving about safe. Two tenders housed on the foredeck are easily deployed/retrieved thanks to the Brower davit that is center mounted between them. Storage is abundant as well thanks to the large locker that is built-in in front of the pilothouse.
Engine Room and Mechanical Equipment
The engine room is accessed through a door in the starboard side of the cockpit. It offers standup headroom and plenty of room to work on the equipment housed in the engine room. Propulsion power is provided by twin Lugger 6125A 325HP diesels.
Electrical power for Traveller II is 240V/120VAC/24V/12VDC and is provided via Dual 32kw Northern Lights generators, Dual 240/120V/50AMP shore power inlets, Outback inverter systems and the yachts DC battery system. All power is managed through the AC/DC power distributions panels.

Note: Most or all of the service and equipment records for Traveller II, going back to 2007/2008 to current are on the vessel. In 2018 the owners took the vessel to Delta Marine, to have service work completed as well as having it completely painted, including the hull-house and flybridge. The bottom was also painted. The captain who looks after the vessel did an ultrasound on the hull which turned out to be in good condition at that time.
