Fokke de Jong

Fokke grew up in the Netherlands where his Father built him his first boat when he was seven years old. His Dutch first name, “Fokke” is pronounced “Fokka” here in the United States. Throughout his early sailing career, Fokke had the opportunity to race against and with many famous one-design sailors in Europe.

As a young man, Fokke searched everywhere for his first sea going boat and found a 27’ Hillyard Classic Yacht in Weymouth England. He sailed that boat all over the North Sea and eventually sold it, when he decided to search for new horizons in the U.S.

In the U.S., he started his first job in the marine industry in 1980. After working in the service and sales department for a large New England sailboat dealership for 10 years, he moved on to bigger opportunities in Florida.

His customers also include the many brokerage customers who seek him out for information about the many high-quality pre-owned boats that he sells. He specializes in follow-up “house calls” on your boat to make sure that your sailing experience, on a new or used boat, exceeds all your expectations.

Now at Denison Yacht Sales, Fokke’s goal is to find the best boat for you and your family and achieve the best service and customer satisfaction possible.
